Waterfall post for sunday

This is a pic of a small waterfall. I took it so

it was upside down. i think it gives it a different way to look at it.

Post for april 30

The first picture I took is of the parking lot. The texture of the asphault looks cool in the picture. The second one is of a tree that I thought was pretty neat because its leaves are a dark red color.

Post for april 28

The first picture I took is of the turf in the Ctc here at Butler. The turf has a weird texture it is like fake grass and there are a bunch of little rubber pieces at the bottom. The second picture is of a house I happened to drive by, a tree had fallen on the roof. I also thought the entry way for the house was kinda neat. My camera didn't take a very clear picture of it.

New Spring Grass post for thursday

This is a picture of a pasture that had been burned not long ago. The new spring grass is starting to come up out of the chard

ground.

Thunder Clouds post for thursday

These where clouds that where starting to build up outside my house. It was such a nice day and it can change in just moments.

Thursday Posts

The first picture I posted is a coin jug that has alot of change in it and the second is of a plant hanging in our house.

Tuesday Posts

The first picture I posted is a picture of coffee cups and kitchen utensils in our kitchen and the second picture I posted is of my laptop. I posted the picture of my laptop because I like the design that is on the front of it.

Thursday Posts

One of these pictures is a picture taken through a soap bottle and light, and the other is through a hand sanitizer bottle and light. The hand sanitizer looks like it has marbles stuck in it and the light reflected off the soap bottle in a pretty cool way.

Tuesday April 28

I really like this picture because i like how the pond is flooded and you can only see a small piece of it.

Tuesday April 28

A picture of my easter basket, I like this picture because it looks like a city kind of with the two big boxes being sky scrapers.

Salyer week13

I like this picture becasue it has an irregular patterent to it.

My two pictures for tuesday I had my brother help me. One of them is a close up of a flower vase in our kitchen and the othert is a close up of my brothers diamond earting. Both of them had some pretty cool reflections from the light.

2 posts for Tuesday

These are pictures I took of the Walnut River that flooded right by my apartment. You can see the playground in the park thats flooded, and the walking bridge on the left that is usually a good 4 ft above the water is flooded. It's crazy what mother nature can do in a matter of hours.

April 28th Posts (15 & 16)

In the first image, it is a cow's horn and I took it with flash and at this angle to highlight how the light seems to reflect down the inside and off the sides of the horn. It almost seems like it has been polished or laqured with something glossy.

In the second image I found this old wooden floor stain in a house. At first it reminded me of the great lakes. Ironically water that can cut through rock over time seems to have the same effect on a smaller scale in a tiny bit of water staining your wood floor.

Week 14

This is a picture of a stepping stone that we have out front of our deck. I was looking over the railing and saw this really interesting pattern in the stone! The way that they used little rocks that are almost smooth and round but not quite to form a perfect circle is quite interesting to me. As I am doing my paper on Andy Goldsworthy, this seems like something he would try to do without the cement that holds it together. LOVE IT!

Week 13

I think this picture is really neat because of the point of view it was taken. My friend is a pilot and took a picture of a burning field this past week from the sky. The fire looks like its trying to draw something on the ground.

Week 14

I took this picture of the rain, and I love how there's almost a pattern to the rain drops. They are in vertical lines from the streams pouring off of my roof, and you can tell where each stream is by the line of vertical droplets. It's kind of like a Polluck painting because you can trace where the droplets started. I also like how some of the light from my flash makes some of the droplets look like fire.

Storm

This is a picture of the storm. I thought it was really cool because the clouds almost look like smoke.

window reflection wk 14

This is a picture from my dorm window. I was trying to take a pic of the rain and the window made a reflection. the reflection is of my room. So in this pic you can see the outside and part of my room in one picture.

Week 14 Moth

This is a picture of a giant moth that landed on the screen of one of the windows of my house. It looked so cool I just had to take a picture. It's a really neat example of the pattern and vibrant color present in nature. I think it's a luna moth, but I'm not sure. I've seen pictures of them before, but this is the first time I'd seen one in person.

week 14 #2

this was taken out of my window and i really like how it looks like its raining massive drops onto a dead tree, and the angle is appealing too

week 14

this is my a&p cat 'fluffy' during the euthanize process they are injected with dye so the veins and arteries are more visable, i know its a little gruesome but you have to admit its pretty cool looking.

Week 12

This is my table cloth, I like how it looks like a checker board.

Diving Bell

These are the diving bell picture that I took. The first picture I took through corn syrup, the second I took through anti-bacterial handsoap, and the third I took through a curtain and a window at my house.

Diving Bell Week11

I really liked these images!

refridgerator

This is a picture I took of our fridge covered with pictures at my house. It just looks like a collage of pictures, cuz you can't even tell that there is a fridge.

Mason Reflects Wk 12

This is a picture of me drinking my cranberry juice out of a mason jar.
I noticed when I put the cup up to my lips that you could see the
"Mason" engraving that was on the jar reflecting in the juice. I
liked the color of the juice and the reflection of the word. I
t almost seemed like the word was floating.

pattern on the wall

I took this picture in the dorms. I like it because the beams along the wall make a cool zig zag type pattern. It is interestung to look at.

Week 13

I took this picture of a decoration on my roommates door. I like the way the flash makes the beads look like little disco balls, and how they all sparkle

Week 12

This picture was supposed to be taken through something like we did for the Diving Bell project. However, I forgot to turn the flash off on this one so instead of looking through the soap, it reflected off of the bottle. I kind of liked it this way anyways, because you can see all the different bubbles and the purple beads really stand out from the flash

Week 13

This was a photo looking through a power meter. I turned it 90 degrees clockwise to show some of the chaos that I saw in this. There are parts going everywhere, and somehow among the chaos there is order and a strict rule to how things work. Physics and the natural laws rule this object and determine if it works or not. Yet in the end it's downfall is the imperfections of man's creation.

Week 12

I saw this out in an old burning barrel and I thought that it was ironic how the paint or whatever had dripped down like this. It reminded me a bit of Jackson Polluck and his expressions of process. There had to be a laid out process even if it was random for this paint to get like this. And on the inside of a burning barrel? Interesting.

wk 12 and 13 Rain and Fire

Our Internet has been down since last week so here are the posts I missed:) The first one is a photo of our burn barrel, it sort of looks like an oversized candle. The second one is a photo from my car at night in the rain. I got stuck at the train tracks at about ten o'clock. I liked how the rain on the windshield distorted the train guard lights.
