
This is a picture of one of the World War memorials in England. I like it because in England they have little pieces of their history on every corner. It's the past sharing the street with the future. In America we don't have that.
Artists nurture their ability to find interest or beauty in the mundane, the ordinary and the natural world. Through practice, they accentuate this focus, typically as a driving force in their work. From Observation is a community blog project that engages its participants to take part in this exercise by finding beauty and interest in their everyday lives.
