Artists nurture their ability to find interest or beauty in the mundane, the ordinary and the natural world. Through practice, they accentuate this focus, typically as a driving force in their work. From Observation is a community blog project that engages its participants to take part in this exercise by finding beauty and interest in their everyday lives.
Very nice choice of imagery in that it really makes one think about what the lines and shapes may be....lending itself to personal interpretation and meaning. It's nice to see an image that isn't automatically representational. I think that that is a big part of being an artist and making the viewer draw his/her own meaning from your work. Great shapes, color, and simplicity of form.

ReplyDeleteI agree. It's also kind of ironic, because when you think of rust, you wouldn't normally think of "beautiful designs". However, in that picture, the designs resemble something an artist would paint, and would in turn be "beautiful"
