I was baking brownies and I noticed the batter dripping over the bowl in such an intricate pattern.

This picture was taken in Chipotle restaurant. I think its neat to see the reflections of inside the restaurant and my friend sitting in front of me while seeing outside.

I was riding in the passenger seat of the car and noticed all the lights. I took a picture and this is what I got. It was raining a little bit, and i think it looks pretty neat.

I was in the kitchen finishing up dishes and I noticed the beauty in running water. It is definitely one of the little things we take advantage of.

snow drift wo 10

This is a picture I took back home of a big snow drift. It seem weird that it's snowing and it's almost April

Wk 10 (Life!)

I realize that this must be kinda a duh picture but ill post it anyways. I think that this gives a perfect portrayal of how life can still exist in a place of cold and desolate nature. The plant was there before the cold snow came, and even after days of freezing rain and cold its still there alive and kicking. Uniquely enough the snow is water which can actually kill or bring life to the plant. How ironic..

Wk 9 (Cords)

In this picture you can see the shadow of all the power cords and video cords from our tv. They are cast on a wall in a strange pattern, almost like a plant or something. Actually it reminded me of something in a rain forest, but in irony the cords don't have a lick of organic matter in them.

Wk 7 (Gateway)

This week i took a picture of a gate that we use for all sorts of things. It's one of those baby gates and we used it for all us kids and even the dog. I like how at this angle and with the flash, it creates a pattern that kinda reminded me of a wasp's nest. I never liked the gate just like I never liked wasps. :D

This is a picture of the melting snow and of the snow still frozen in our driveway. It reminds me of Maya Lin's three forms of water. I captured two:)

Tire week 10

Its is a picture i took of one of my tires on my jeep. I liked the pattern that the tire has in this picture. Also i liked how u cant see the whole tire just part of it.

Ice Tree Week 10

Im sure alot of people in class have similar pictures from this storm. I picked this one because of the shade of blue in the background really makes the tree and ice look cool.

Ice

This was taken during the ice storm this weekend. I thought the way the trees looked with the snow was beautiful. I actually took a lot of pictures, but this was one of the best.

Microwave

This is an up close picture of my microwave door. It kind of reminds me of a honeycomb or something. I never really realized my microwave had this kind of design on th door, but it's interesting.

Science or Sucker? Week 9

This week I took a picture of a sucker up close because it was transparent. If you look closely you can see the stick through the candy. It kind of reminded me of something you would see through a microscope.

shadows wk 7

I was trying to get a picture of me and my friend swinging, it was difficult. :) I accidently got a picture of our shadows instead. I liked the pattern of the lines in this picture, the line of the trees framing the lake and the lines of the shadows of the swing set.

Plants

This is a picture of plants that are on the side of my garage. They run all along one side of my garage.

Oil Stains

This is a picture of oil stains in my driveway. They've been there for a while, but I never notice them.

Tire Marks

This is a picture of tire marks from someone that had burnt their tires in my driveway.

Week 9 Gel bottle

I took this picture in my bathroom. It is a picture of a gel bottle close up. I like it because this close you can see all the lighter and darker blue bubbles. It makes a pretty cool pattern.

This is a picture i took in my dads closet. I liked the different textures in it. Also i liked that it had lots of color to.

Shadows From the Trees wk8

This is a picture i took one day when i was driving home. I liked the was the trees cast a shadow on the road. It gives the road a creepy vibe i think in a way. Also i think that the roads curves also add to the creepy effect.

I like how the light looks like like the sun and the light in the background looks like a reflection of it

This is a picture of a bannana. I like this picture because it reminds me of a leoperd or snake skin.

Swing-wk 9

Again at the park, this is the view from the swing. I was actually trying to take a picture of the clouds but I got this instead. It's a different perspective from a common swing:)

Foam-wk 8

My friend and I were at Sedgwick County park by the zoo and I couldn't resist taking a picture of the foam on the edge of the pond. I like how the bubbles are smaller in the center then gradually get bigger.

This is the pattern of the floor in front of fireplace. I just think it looks cool with all the circles.

dead plant

This is a picture of a dead plant that we have sitting outside our house. It looks like it has been dead for quite a while so I don't get why my parents just don't get rid of it.

I bought a new t.v. for my room and I turned it on to program it. I took a picture to send to my mom and it came out like this. I thought it was cool cause the numbers and stuff look like they're mirrored.

My picture this week is from a western diamond back rattlesnake. I took this picture at my job working for my grandpa as a assisstant taxidermist. i took the picture because it has an awesome pattern on it.

Strawberry soda week 8

This is a bottle that got dropped and shaken up. I liked the color/ contrast between the counter and the soda. the Birdseye view makes this normal event look interesting and strange.

Silly String Wall

We were at a cheerleading competition/performance over Spring Break, and this was the pattern on one of the bulletin boards. I'm not sure if it was a bulletin board, or just decoration, but I found it interesting how intricate this design is. It reminds me of layers and layers of silly string, or really thick spider webs.

Food? (wk8)

So this is our dog, and one day I was playing around with him and after awhile he kinda got bored so i left him be. 10 min later I see him with this in his mouth, a piece of trash and if I wouldn't have taken a second look I would never have taken a second thought, but I suppose this sheepish look he is giving should have been a dead give away.. haha

Door

I took this picture because the reflection of the light on the door made it look sparkly. If the door didnt have this texture then the light wouldnt have the same effect.

Bananas

I thought this picture of these two bananas was kind of cool because it shows that as they get older the bright yellow is taken over by brown speckles..eventually the banana will rot and turn completely brown.

Pattern

This is a picture of my table. I really like the pattern the wood grains make. I think it looks like a flower.

Symmetry

I couldn't believe this picture I got today when I went out to go fishin with my dad. I know it looks like just another sunset, but the symmetry of the land between the air and water just fascinates me! Anyone else?

My Wall

This is a picture of the wall in my apartment. It looks more like a ceiling pattern than what should be on a wall, but I think it's cool how there are many different shapes and patterns on it. I think they use whatever material it is on the walls since so many different people live in the apartments here, so it's probably easiest to cover previous damage, so it's really cool that most of those specks are formed from layers and layers of paint from over the years. It also kind of reminds me of moon rocks and craters.

candle wk 7

After I blew out this candle, I thought it looked pretty cool so I just decided to take a picture of it. I've never taken any time to notice how a candle looks after it's blowen out.

Lantern

This is an up close picture of a light we have hanging on the ceiling of the entryway in my house. I'm not tall enough to see that high, so I held up my camera and snapped a shot. I think it looks cool up close, and you can really see the patterns in the glass. It has a very crackled or broken look.

Pattern Week 7

This is a picture of close up macaroni noodles. I looked down in the pot before i put on the cheese and it reminded me of the Bop painting lady we saw on video earlier this week. It makes a pretty cool bubbbly kinda pattern.

Burnt Out week 7*

This is the burnt wick of a candle. I like this one because most people notice the flame, but this shows the beauty of the aftermath, just a burnt wick.

Island week 5

This is one view of St. Thomas island. I liked how you can see the absolute beauty of the island on a sunny morning and then you have the industrial stop light smack daub in the middle of the beauty. Just a litte ironic.

England week 6

This is a picture of one of the World War memorials in England. I like it because in England they have little pieces of their history on every corner. It's the past sharing the street with the future. In America we don't have that.

ring wk 6

I was walking around my house and I seen this ring on our table, which I have never noticed before. So I figured I'd take a picture, but what I like about it is how the light is centered almost directly in the middle of the ring.

ℜainbow☆

I took this picture of in my car at the stoplight at towanda and haverhill before school because I thought it was insane how there was a reflection of a rainbow on my dashboard. I'm still trying to figure out what the rainbow was reflecting on, but it was awesome to be able to capture this picture. It's amazing to see what kind of colors nature can make.

Waves in the Clouds

I took this picture the other day when I was headed to Derby. I really liked the way the clouds looked that day, it reminds me of waves in an ocean...but in the sky. The picture doesn't show it that well, but they really did look like waves, and it was so windy so the clouds were changing every couple minutes. It was like an ocean in the sky, which is kind of interesting since clouds are little droplets of water vapor.

Railroad week 6

This is a picture I took not far from where I live. It is of the Santa Fe Railroad. I really liked how the sun shines off the rail and how it look like it might never end.
